7 persons including 5 children charred to death as LPG cylinder explodes in Barabanki

IMG-20160427-WA0004Seven people including five children were charred to death when a gas cylinder explosion led to fire at Dewa in Barabanki. Around 17 persons including the five children were injured in the fire. All the injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Lucknow, where five children succumbed to their injuries.

According to Kotwali in charge Javed Khan, Lallaram, a resident of Rafipur has a marriage ceremony at his house on April 29. It is for the occasion that relatives and near and dear one had assembled at Lallaram’s house.

On Wednesday, at around 12 noon, there was huge explosion in an LPG cylinder after which fire engulfed the area. Most of the family members were having lunch when the incident took place. Around 17 persons came under direct impact of the fire. On receiving the information, fire brigade and police force rushed to the spot.

Villagers also began helping fire brigade personnel. The fire was soon brought under control. All the 17 injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Lucknow. However, five children died during the course of treatment. According to initial reports, many of the injured were in critical condition. Pal of gloom descended in Rafipur area as the news of seven people’s death reached the village.
