Sherwani, chikan kurta-clad guide and staff at Asifi Imambara and Bhul Bhullaiyya soon

A red carpet welcome, sherwani and chikan kurta-pyjama clad staff and several selfie points are some of the new features one would be able to enjoy soon at Asifi Imambara and Bhul Bhullaiyya. A dress code has been issued for the Hussainabad and Allied Trust staff, officials and guides at this historic monuments.
As per the new dress code, during winters, the staff and the guide would be welcoming tourists in sherwani, a traditional nawabi dress wore until the calf muscle length and during summers in chikan kurta and pyjama, trust chairman and district magistrate Rajshekhar said. The designs to implement new dress code would be finalised by the month end, he said and added that expert designer would be roped in for the designing of the new dresses.
The design concept can also be proposed by the common man, Rajshekhar said and added that the best design would be given a reward of Rs 25,000.
He said that conservation of the sachiv kothi would also be done. Half of the Kothi would be developed into the offices of the chairman and secretary while half of kothi would have heritage and legacy library. A small documentary detailing about the monuments is also being prepared, the DM said and added that the same would be ready by July.
Further elaborating on the beautification plan, Rajshekhar said that several selfie points would be developed and added that each selfie points would have benches to capture the best shots. The places have been identified and work is on to come up with these selfie points soon, the DM said and concluded that similarly, red carpet would be laid on the passage leading to the monuments as this would only add to the beauty besides would protect feet of the tourist from burning.
